    Accommodation Procurement and Key Account Management Service for Hotels, Motels and Serviced Apartments.

    OVERVIEW

    Outlined below are our terms of doing business together. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact us to discuss before signing.

    We do this using our 40+ years of brokering deals in the hospitality industry and provide a valuable service to accommodation providers who otherwise may not have the time, resource or skill to identify and negotiate deals with organisations that have transient, group or project based accommodation needs in their area.

    Replacing the need to invest in a sales or business development manager, the goal is to bring new, incremental pieces of business to your property, providing a solid base of demand for your property to grow from.

    Existing typical outsourcing of corporate sales functions involves upfront investment and commitment from the property in the hope that it brings new business. These programs are usually measured by deliverables such as calls made, and proposals put forward with no real guarantee of success and putting bums in beds and money in your pocket.

    Our Virtual Hotel BDM service, by way of differentiation is free to optin, and then we set to work on finding you new business. If and when we do find opportunity, we assist with all negotiations, paperwork and sign off and then only after the account actually produces (ie when guests have stayed), do we then get paid for our efforts.

    This is done on a commission in arrears model (see further down for details)

    THE TERMS

    It is with this network that we actively promote participation to small and medium enterprise, large corporations and travel management companies. We also actively monitor numerous tender sites, major project portals and professional conferencing and event sites to seek out RFP invitations.

    • We will produce, in conjunction with the property, a capability statement (or Hotel Fact Sheet) to assist with RFP’s and representation
    • We may assist with completing property profiles on key tender and project portals (in conjunction with the property). Eg; Lanyon, CVENT, ICN Gateway
    • We may contact various corporations seeking transient demand for your area.
    • We may make representations to travel management companies on your behalf.
    • We may recommend participation in specific consortia style programs (which may incur some upfront fees) that have known large volumes of room nights into your area.
    • We will keep you informed of specific opportunities, for the sake of transparency, so you know what we are working on and ensure we are not duplicating efforts on accounts/opportunities.
    • If not already, we may recommend you get set up on the GDS which may incur additional costs. 

    As stated, it does not guarantee results, but you don’t pay anything unless we produce anyway!

    THE REMUNERATION

    We will scout for opportunities for you and when we bring them to fruition, we will be remunerated by way of commission in arrears. How Much?

    • We will be transparent about any participation fees upfront as the need arises.
    • Commissions are only payable on actual produced room nights and revenue (not on signed contracts).
    • All fees are based on ex gst.
    • Ongoing account management, relationship building and future contract negotiations means that production in future years remains eligible as being commissionable to Hotel Strategy Co as these account continue to produce.
    • Typically invoicing will occur quarterly on 14 day terms and will require prompt communications from the property with details of production reporting at the end of each quarter.
