To be eligible to participate in this program, WSTIP members must track consecutive and/or cumulative years of preventable/recordable/chargeable accident service and the driver must be actively on the member’s payroll as of the disbursement. WSTIP will accept the member’s method of determining preventable/recordable/chargeable accidents and tracking systems without question. Drivers/operators with a commercial driver license and/or driving in revenue service and approved by their safety committee or safety officer, and executive director/general manager are eligible for the award. Vanpool drivers, route supervisors, vehicle maintenance, facility maintenance, administrative personnel, and all other non-revenue operator/drivers are not eligible at this time.

20-24 years of service = $0
25-29 years of service =$125
30-34 years of service =$150
35 + years of service =$250
CONSECUTIVE YEAR OF SERVICE BAND
20-24 years of service =$200
25-29 years of service =$250
30-34 years of service =$300
35+ years of service =$500
Once a driver enters the band, they are eligible for their one-time cash award distribution of that band. These awards are taxable to the individual and information regarding taxation will be included in the generic award letter that WSTIP will provide. If a driver is eligible for both an consecutive or cumulative award, the driver will only receive a cash award for the higher of the two (example: if a driver has 20 years of consecutive and 26 years cumulative driving, the award the driver would receive is $200 which is the higher value of the two awards.)
