Since it opened in 1948, Nottingham Playhouse has meant lots of things to many people. In this section you can upload stories, memories, images and ephemera you may have collected to help develop a community history of Nottingham Playhouse.
Here at the Community Café, we encourage all forms of contributions: you might want to record yourself sharing a memory, you might wish to scan a document or photo like a programme or letter, you could have a musical response or want to share a scene, song or skill you learnt at a Playhouse group.
- Have you felt a particular connection to a production?
- When did you make your first visit to The Playhouse?
- Is there a programme you have saved from a performance that you really enjoyed?
- Did you take part in a Nottingham Playhouse workshop when you were at school?
- Have you been part of a community production?
- Do you remember the Sky Mirror being installed in 2001?
- Have you attended any Pre and Post-show talks?
- What’s the best play you’ve ever seen, is there anything you can upload to tell us a story about that experience?
- Do you, or a member of your family have a dedicated seat in the auditorium?
