Astro Academy
No matter your level of familiarity with the topic, join us for a loosely constructed "class" on all things astrology! The program meets the same time every week for approximately 10 weeks. If you complete the program by attending 6 out of 10 sessions, you will receive a free astrology book in the mail!
Astro Academy will meet once a week on Mondays at 4:00 p.m. EST and Fridays at 1:00 p.m. Please indicate if you are interested in attending one of the sections by responding below. Community Channels are virtual affinity spaces that bring people together based on common identities and shared interests. The goal for these channels is for students who identify with the group(s) to find community with others with similar interests and shared experiences. To ensure the integrity of these spaces, Community Channels will be facilitated by UArts students instead of staff. These groups will meet weekly via Google Meet. By signing up for a Community Channel, you'll get added to facilitator's email list so you'll be notified of meetings, events, and opportunities to connect through group chats, Instagram, or Discord.

Curated Conversations: The Art of Running a Gallery
Join the University Galleries team members and guests each week to investigate different aspects of what it takes to run an exhibition space. Open to all students, together we will explore a variety of topics and meet artists and curators. We’ll kick it off with a conversation with UArts curator Sid Sachs and artist Alex da Corte who reimagined Chicken at UArts last spring. We’ll touch on topics relevant to the formal white cube space and to the artist collective space. You’ll meet the folks who plan exhibitions at local spaces including Vox Populi and Space 1026, and even international curator Jose Roca who is planning the Sydney Biennial. Together we’ll explore the inner workings of the modern gallery!

Cyber Studio
Join Alan Price and Caitlin Perkins from the Center for Immersive Media for this 8-week program that will explore collaboration in virtual environments and ways that artists and designers are using VR in studio practice. Weekly sessions consist of demonstration and participation in VR chat rooms and multiplayer VR applications alongside discussions about the variety of approaches to making and designing in a virtual studio environment. Open to all students. For students who join the Cyber Studio and are interested, we will also be offering an opportunity to participate in a small VR production team, and we will discuss this during the first meeting of the semester.

Emerging Leaders is a program that explores all things leadership through group discussion and activities. Emerging Leaders meets weekly for the first 8 weeks of classes starting the second week of classes. Open to all students!

Game Night
Game Night is a weekly social-hour led by students, for students. No consoles or programs necessary; all games are designed to be simple and accessible over Zoom. At the end of each night, the winner of the most games or the person with the most points will receive a $10 Amazon gift card!

Social Justice Leadership Program
The Social Justice Leadership program is an 8-week experience that empowers students to engage in socially conscious leadership as a means to promote equity and achieve justice. Through this program, students will explore systemic oppression, power and privilege, and culture and identity while applying these concepts to their leadership development.
The Social Justice Leadership program offers two different meeting times that each meet once a week. Please indicate which times you are available so we may sort you by availability. If you are available for either, please select both - you will be sorted into a specific section later.
