At least one godparent must be chosen for Baptism - male or female or one of each. CCC 873 This (these) person(s) must be able to profess the Catholic Faith, be at least 16, have received the all the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Communion and Confirmation) and be in good standing with the Catholic Church.
A non-Catholic Christian can accompany a Catholic godparent as a Christian witness.

For those who do not reside within our parish boundaries please be aware that you may be asked to register as a regular member or obtain permission from the Church in which you reside for our priests to host the baptism within our parish family.

Baptisms During The Pandemic

All Baptisms are by individual family appointment.

Each family receives a 1/2hr time slot on a Sunday afternoon.

It is a shortened ceremony.

A member of the pastoral team will contact you within a week to set up a date for your baptism and let you know if any further preparation is required.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, we are required to gather all the names and phone numbers of those who are entering our building. Please inform your guests that they are required to wear a mask and ensure that they have no symptoms of Covid-19, not been in contact with someone who has Covid-19, and not been out of the country in the last 14 days requiring quarantine. Guests who are not in the same social circle as other family members MUST socially distance by 6ft/2meters. The more guests you have the further away your guests will be from the font.
