About the Timmins Christmas Food Box Project
Christmas Food Boxes have been provided to people in need in the Timmins area since 1994 through St. Anthony's Church. St. Anthony's is no longer able to continue offering this service; however, a committee, made up of community members and organizations have come together to ensure the Christmas Food Box project continues not only this year, but for many years to come.
The Christmas Food Box Project ensures families, seniors, and singles in need receive a box filled with fresh food and non-perishables during the holiday season.
Committee Organizations: Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins, Cochrane District Social Planning Council, and Rogers Sports and Media (Kiss 99.3/92.1 Rock).
Donations
100% of donations will go to purchasing items to help fill Christmas Food Boxes for families, seniors, and singles in need in the Timmins area.
Donations of $20 or more are eligible for a charitable tax receipt from Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins.
If you prefer to donate perishable food items, please plan on attending the Ton in a Tundra food drive event — taking place on Friday Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations: Food Basics, Giant Tiger (Timmins), Pick of the Crop, Foodland, No Frills, and Your Independent Grocer.
