The Power of Heels is the women’s division of the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce, committed to empowering women in business through professional and personal development and initiatives.

GOALS
- Showcase women-owned and operated businesses.
- Increase visibility of business women in Burleson and the surrounding areas.
- Promote pride of women in the workplace.
- Develop networking opportunities.
POH MEMBER RESPONSIBILITY
1. Company or individual's membership must always be in good standing with the Chamber.
2. There is a $30 initial POH membership fee for the first year which provides you with a POH name badge. Subsequent year's dues of $15 are collected in January.
3. POH Committee meetings are held bi-monthly (January, March, May, July, September, November, and a final one in December) on the first Tuesday of the month at 9 a.m. at the Chamber or as called by the POH Chair. The meetings serve the purpose of preparation for the upcoming POH events.
4. POH committee members must maintain 75% minimum attendance of ALL POH events including monthly meetings. POH members will be notified by the Sergeant at Arms in writing if they fail to meet the 75% attendance standard after two quarters. A third consectutive quarter with attendance at or below 75% will result in the member's mandatory resignation from the POH, unless otherwise approved by the Executive Committee for extenuating circumstances.
5. Involvement and coordination with this event is a mandatory part of this committee.

Why are you interested in serving as a committee member on the Power of Heels
Participation as a POH Committee member would entail a significant time requirement, investment and commitments towards our mission. Knowing this, what skill set do you bring and how do you feel you could contribute?
Would you be willing to serve as an officer? This will include public speaking.
By signing and submitting this form, I hereby pledge to attend at least 75% of all activities per month and to promote the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce and the Power of Heels in a positive manner. I will wear the Power of Heels attire – Anything Red & name badge – to all required Ambassador Events, and I agree to pay the one-time initiation fee of $30.00 & subsequent dues of $15 each year I remain a Power of Heels.
