If not, we strongly recommend you find one.  We recommend that you share with someone you trust what happened at the Sozo so that the person can pray with you and hold you accountable.  (Not your “best friend”.) You could also ask to see a counsellor at the church if you have need of further assistance.

Liability Release for the PBC Sozo Ministry team

I acknowledge that Sozo team members from Pinelands Baptist Church have voluntary agreed to pray for me using primarily inner healing methods developed at Bethel Church in Redding, California.  I understand that this session is not a professional counselling meeting and that none of the team members are licensed counsellors. I understand that these team members are, to the best of their ability, partnering with the Holy Spirit to help me achieve more freedom in my life, based on Biblical principles.

I understand that Sozo Ministry is not counselling and that the PBC Sozo Ministry team may refer me to counsellors in the church if I need further assistance.

I hereby state that I have voluntarily sought assistance of my own initiative and that I am under no obligation to accept or reject any of the advice or help that I might receive from the team members of this ministry.

I understand that the team is committed to respect the disclosed information.

I understand that the team has a legal obligation to report information in respect of a criminal offence.

I agree to hold Pinelands Baptist Church and its Sozo team members free from any and all liability, loss or damage of any kind that may arise as a result of assistance which I have received from my involvement with the Sozo Team of Pinelands Baptist Church.
