2021 Board of Directors Nomination

Please fill out this form to nominate for a position on the Management & Organizational Behavior Teaching Society Board of Directors. Self-nominations are acceptable.
The nominations deadline is Monday, January 4th 2021.

Please be aware that nominees MUST be current members of MOBTS to be eligible for ballot consideration. If the nominee is not a member, the nominee must proceed to MOBTS.org to purchase a one-year membership.

If nominating an MOBTS member (other than yourself in a self-nomination), you must have the consent of the prospective nominee to submit this application.

Board members are expected to be physically present for the June pre-conference meeting and the Fall meeting (typically toward the end of October), as well as present and engaged in any virtual meetings and email discussions conducted in between. All meetings are currently virtual meetings due to COVID-19.

A nomination does not guarantee a place on the ballot. The Nominations & Elections Committee will determine the final slate for the ballot.

We currently have three positions we are seeking nominations for:
- President -Elect - This individual will serve as President-Elect on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors from June 2021 through June 2022. The individual will then proceed onward for a three-year term as President from June 2022 through June 2025. Nominees for President-Elect may be asked to meet with the Executive Committee prior to the ballot being established.
- At-Large - A Director At-Large position will be charged with and volunteer for tasks, initiatives, and committees as they arise. In addition, such a Director may request consideration to shift to a specific responsibility (ex. Preconference Chair) as it becomes available.
The Nominations & Elections committee will follow up with nominees. A nomination does not guarantee a place on the ballot as MOBTS board positions are highly sought after resulting in an abundance of nominations. Long-term presence in the Society is not a prerequisite to be on the ballot, so we encourage junior, mid-career, and senior faculty alike to be nominated!
