    This is a questionnaire to determine the attitude of people to a variety of situations & to other people.

    Please answer the statements by giving as true a picture of your own attitude, by giving the appropriate alternative for each statement of both parts separately.

    We request you to rate each and every statement to avoid scoring errors.          

    You can use the following scale to rate each of the items.   

    5 = Strongly agree

    4 = Mildly agree

    3 = Neither agree nor disagree

    2 = Mildly disagree

    1 = Strongly disagree

  • 2. I feel quite comfortable to leave the house when a plumber is doing repair work

  • 14. Even though we have reports in news papers, radio and television, it is hard to get objective accounts of public events.

  • 16. If traffic police are not around people tend to break traffic rules.
  • 17. Most employees in public services (telephone operators, municipal corporation employees, food inspectors etc. ) carry out the job honestly
  • 18. Most college administrators are competent to handle student problems
  • 19. Most examinations are objective
  • 20. Most organisations manipulate their accounts for a variety of reasons
  • 21. The annual reports cannot be relied fully for financial matters
  • 22. Most of the time there is no congruence between what is stated in training calendars and brochures and what is offered
  • 23. Most announcements explaining flight delays are true
  • 24. Most people who apply for leave write the truth in their leave letter
  • 25. Quite a few medical claims (bills to company’s etc.) are fake ones
  • 26. Most salesmen tend to make false travel claims
  • 27. Most teachers now days do not come well prepared to class
  • 28. The price of items on sale are mostly manipulated to retain the original price after discount
  • 29. Data presented by most Ph. D students are not reliable for serious use
  • 30. Sales people can be trusted on what they say about the product they sell
  • 31. Most repairman over charge for their services
  • 32. Most tailors can be relied to deliver the clothes on the day that they promise
  • 33. Ticket-less travel is on the increase
  • 34. Corruption is on the increase in our society
  • 35. Judiciary is influenced by undesirable elements
  • 36. Private banks are risky to trade with
  • 37. Most people understate their income in their tax returns
  • 38. Taxi drivers in most cities have tampered meters or overcharge
  • 39. Most shopkeepers do not tell you the correct price
  • 40. Examination results do not tell you the correct ability of students
  • 41. Most examiners do not spend time in correcting papers accurately
  • 42. College rankers are true reflections of student merit
  • 43. Winners of International games and sports are fixed in advance
  • 44. Computers should not be over relied on, as you never know when the data will be lost
  • 45. Promotion and such other personnel policy rules and procedures are manipulated in most organisations to suit the influential managers
  • 46. Most training institutes make genuine efforts to teach what they promise in their curriculum and brochures
  • 47. Most of the news in newspapers is distorted to get readership
  • 48. One can never rely on the promises made by property dealers
  • 49. In crisis and calamities politicians and bureaucrats continue to have their cuts
  • 50. Most donations do not reach the intended beneficiaries
  • 51. Most ticket collectors in railways are likely to accommodate you, if you bribe them sufficiently
  • 52. I prefer to recheck calculations done by others
  • 53. Most doctors focus on the welfare of the patients than on money
  • 54. I trust strangers in a bus/train to the extent that I can leave my things with them for a while
  • 55. All salesmen cover up for the deficiency of their product by smooth talk
  • 56. When a stranger offers help to somebody he/she will always have a hidden interest
  • 57. I find myself trusting strangers more than they trust me
  • 58. Most reports (blood, urine etc.) generated by pathologists are not authentic
  • 59. If a shopkeeper recommends a product, you can be sure something is wrong with it
  • 60. All shopkeepers have stock of their product to sell them at a higher cost when the opportunity comes
