Please answer the following questions truthfully and do not assume that any past mistake will disqualify you from ministry. Any special concerns can be discussed individually with the pastoral staff.

Historically, nonprofits have chosen projects and decided how their volunteers will serve communities in need. Today, there is a movement to instead rely on the impacted communities to plan and execute service projects that affect them. In this case, the volunteer's role is to show up with a heart of service to help execute the plans of the community. What do you think about the two approaches and how do you see the role of volunteering for communities in need?

I give my authorization to Soteria Community Development Corporation or its representatives to release any and all records or information relating to working with other ministries, within the Soteria CDC entity. Soteria CDC may contact references and appropriate government agencies as deemed necessary in order to verify my suitability as an outreach volunteer. I understand that the personal information in this application will be held confidential by the Soteria CDC staff.
