Package Acceptance Form

As a convenience to our valued residents, we offer a package acceptance service. If you are not home or are out of town and you are expecting a package via UPS, FedEx, Mail service or any other carrier, we will accept it and hold it for you for a 48 hour period in the package storage room.

By signing this form you are allowing us to sign for your package and hold it in our package storage.

We cannot be held accountable for any damage to or loss of your items.

You will receive a message from West Ocean [no-reply@actionlife.com] at your primary email address notifying you of your package.

Because of the high volume of items received, we ask that you pick up your package within 48 hours. If for some reason you will not be able to retrieve your package within the 48 hour time period, please notify the office so that your package does not get returned to the carrier.

At no time will the front-desk personnel sign for or accept Certified Letters and/or Registered Mail (Express Mail ok).

At no time will the front-desk personnel sign for deliveries of items that are not in a package or box (e.g. furniture). We cannot sign forms indicating that an item was delivered in good condition, etc.

I understand the above policy and authorize West Ocean personnel to accept packages in compliance with the above.

The parking spaces shall be used solely for parking vehicles and shall not be used for storage, living, recreational or business purposes.

Homeowners/residents must park their vehicles in their assigned spaces. Vehicles should be parked in manner that does not impede or prevent ready access to another homeowner's/resident's parking space, or prevent access to the driveways.

Homeowners/residents are restricted from parking in spaces designated as visitor spaces. Homeowners/residents must refrain from unnecessarily honking horns, gunning or idling of engines and observe the 5 M.P.H. speed limits in the garage at all times.

Car washing/detailing, installation of phones, stereo systems or anything else is strictly prohibited in the parking garage, unless a car washing /detailing service is approved by the Board and retained by the Association to provide scheduled services to the owners.

A West Ocean parking decal must be displayed at all times. Make sure you receive one for each vehicle that will be parked onsite.

All Exclusive Use Area parking space(s) are assigned. If you have more vehicles than parking spaces you will need to make other parking arrangements for those vehicles. All vehicles, and any changes to parking space assignments, must be registered with the Association for

Seven handicap parking spaces will be maintained; four in Tower I and three in Tower II. They are available for the use of disabled owners/residents with evidence of eligibility from the State of California (e.g. a Handicap Designation) and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no time limit on disabled homeowner or resident use of the seven handicap parking spaces. Parking vehicles in handicapped spaces is not considered an additional parking privilege, but is an accommodation. Homeowners and residents utilizing the handicapped spaces are required to provide the Association with a copy of the current evidence of eligibility from the State of California.

Homeowners and residents may only park the total number of vehicles inside the garage that corresponds to the total number of parking spaces that are assigned and provided as an exclusive easement for parking purposes on the deed for their respective unit.

Violations of any of the above Parking regulations may result in towing and fining pursuant to the Association's Schedule of Fees and Monetary Penalties.

Safety: Please lock your vehicles at all times, and don't leave valuables in your car!

By signing this form, I affirm that the facts set forth in it are true and complete. I hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Association and Management from any and all claims for loss or damage resulting from use of the Association's parking facilities. I have read and understand the rules of the Association and agree to abide by them while utilizing the parking facilities at West Ocean.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT FOR USE OF THE WEST OCEAN ASSOCIATION COMMON AREA FACILITIES

As an owner and/or resident in The West Ocean Association ("Association") I wish to be allowed to use the Association facilities including the fitness center, the equipment in the fitness center, the shower area, restrooms, pool, sauna, spa, party rooms, conference rooms and all other facilities (Collectively referred to as the "Facilities).
I hereby acknowledge and agree to abide by each of the following 7 terms and conditions in order to be permitted to use the Facilities.

1. I HEREBY AGREE TO ACCEPT THE COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY AND RISK FOR ANY INJURY, SICKNESS (such as Covid), OR DEATH ARISING OUT OF OR RESULTING FROM MY USE, OCCUPANCY, OR OPERATION OF THE ASSOCIATION'S FACILITIES, WHETHER I AM ACTIVELY USING THE FACILITIES OR NOT.2. I ALSO HEREBY AGREE TO ACCEPT COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURIES TO OR PROPERTY DAMAGE BY MYSELF WHILE IN THE COMMON AREA FACILITIES, WHETHER I AM ACTIVELY USING THE FACILITIES OR NOT.3. I HEREBY ALSO AGREE THAT I, MY HEIRS, EXECUTORS AND ADMINISTRATORS WILL NOT MAKE ANY CLAIM AGAINST, SUE, FILE ANY LEGAL ACTION, ATTACH THE PROPERTY OF, OR PROSECUTE THE ASSOCIATION, ITS DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, INSURANCE CARRIERS, INSURANCE POLICIES, AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES AND ATTORNEYS (COLLECTIVELY REFERRED TO AS THE "ASSOCIATION"), FOR INJURY, SICKNESS, DEATH OR DAMAGE RESULTING TO ME AS A RESULT OF MY USE OF THE FACILITIES, AS A RESULT OF THE NEGLIGENCE OR OTHER ACTS OF MYSELF OR OTHERS, INCLUDING ASSOCIATION, AND TO ACCEPT COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEATH, PERSONAL INJURIES TO ME OR PROPERTY DAMAGE BY ME WHILE I AM IN THE COMMON AREA FACILITIES OR RELATED PREMISES AND FACILITIES, WHETHER USING THE FACILITIES OR NOT.4. FURTHER, I AGREE TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND AT MY SOLE COST AND EXPENSE, AND TO HOLD HARMLESS THE ASSOCIATION FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, COSTS, LOSS, DAMAGE AND LIABILITY FOR INJURY, SICKNESS OR DEATH RESULTING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM MY USE OF THE FACILITIES, OR NOT, WHETHER OR NOT RESULTING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OR OTHER ACTS BY ASSOCIATION AND TO ACCEPT COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYDEATH, ILLNESS, PERSONAL INJURIES OR PROPERTY DAMAGE BY ME WHILE IN THE ASSOCIATION COMMON AREA FACILITIES, WHETHER OR NOT USING THE FACILITIES.5. I AM FULLY AWARE OF EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THE RISKS AND HAZARDS INHERENT IN USING THE FACILITIES, AND HEREBY EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AFFIRM THAT I UNDERSTAND THAT BY USING THE FACILITIES, INCLUDING ANY EQUIPMENT, THAT I RISK THE POSSIBILITY OF SEVERE OR LIFE THREATENING PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, ILLNESS,INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO BRAIN DAMAGE, OXYGEN DEPRIVATION, DROWNING,EQUIPMENT OR WEIGHT MACHINE RELATED INJURY OR ILLNESS, SLIP AND FALL, HEART ATTACK, STRANGULATION, BROKEN BONES, HEAT STROKE, STROKE, EXHAUSTION, EXPOSURE TO VARIOUS METALS, AND OTHER TYPES OF HARM, INJURY OR DAMAGE, AS WELL AS PROPERTY DAMAGE. I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT ANY INSURANCE POLICIES CARRIED BY THE ASSOCIATION WILL NOT COVER OR PAY FOR ANY INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH OR DAMAGE WHICH I MAY INCUR AS A RESULT OF THE RISKS WHICH MAY OCCUR AS RESULT OR NOT AS A RESULT OF MY USE OF THE FACILITIES.7. I GIVE MY PERMISSION, IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY. TO THE ASSOCIATION, THEIR EMPLOYEES, AGENTS AND REPRESENTATIVES, TO OBTAIN EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE FOR ME IF CONSIDERED BY THEM TO BE NECESSARY, AND TO RELEASE THE ASSOCIATION FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR OBTAINING SUCH MEDICAL CARE.
THIS CONSENT, AGREEMENT, RELEASE AND AUTHORIZATION SHALL BE VALID AND CONTINUE IN EFFECT UNTIL SUCH TIME AS I HAVE PROVIDED WRITTEN NOTICE TO THE ASSOCIATION OF MY TERMINATION OF IT.

Bike racks are available on a first come first serve basis. Bike racks are located in the access controlled P4 Bike Storage Room.
