  • Trails Grant for Manitoba

  • The Trails Grant for Manitoba seeks to advance the recreational trail network in Manitoba.

    Please submit all applications for trails within the geographical area of Winnipeg to the Trails Grant for Winnipeg.

  • The following costs are NOT eligible:
    • Land purchase costs and private land use expenses, including rent or taxes.
    Grants will NOT be awarded to:
    • The provincial government or provincial government body, entity, agency, or organization.
    • Any organization that is operated for-profit.
    • Any organization that has not established operations in Manitoba.
    • Individuals.
  • 2020/2021 Grant Application Submission Deadline: February 15, 2021
    Review Process: February - March 2021
    Grant Recipient Notification:  March 31, 2021

    Trails Manitoba reserves the right to modify the above timeline as needed.

    To qualify as an eligible project, the project must meet one or more of the following criteria. Please provide rationale for how your project addresses these objectives as applicable.

    Please describe if there are any conflict of interest issues.

  • DIRECTIONS: Please provide a detailed line-item budget using the suggested headings. Please include project management costs within the budget. Also, please include “in kind” contributions where applicable.

  • SECTION A: PERSONNEL/ADMINISTRATION

    List all personnel/contractor(s) that you intend to hire; the total number of hours they will work; the rate of pay and calculate the total cost. Include costs of administering the project. Stipends and honorariums are typically discouraged; if you are requesting this, you must include a reasonable estimate of total hours and a justification in the comments section for not using an hourly rate.

  • SECTION B: EQUIPMENT

    List each item that you will need to purchase/rent if applicable; where it will be purchased/rented; the number of items required; and, the total cost for those items (including taxes, shipping, etc.).

  • SECTION C: CONSTRUCTION/ENGINEERING/SOFTWARE

    This section is to identify costs related to executing the project in terms of physical construction or acquisition of goods.  Please indicate in the Construction Description whether the specific items are actual costs (results of a Request for Proposal or quote) or estimates.

  • SECTION E: OTHER

    Your project may include some other expenses that do not fit well into the above categories. Use this section for any remaining costs, including a justification.
