Foster Application

Thank you for considering fostering! As a foster, you would be providing a rescue dog with a safe, loving environment until we are able to find them a perfect forever home. We provide our fosters with all necessary supplies, including food and a crate for the dog.

We ask that our fosters assist with transportation to all required vetting appointments. Our vetting can be done at any Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) clinic, and locations can be found at texasforthem.org.

And the best part is that our fosters get first right of refusal on adopting their foster dog! That's why fostering is the best way to see if a dog is the perfect fit for your family before you commit to forever!

I understand that I will NOT be reimbursed for any costs associated with my foster dog unless the costs are pre-approved through written approval by FUR~Friends United in Rescue.*

I understand that my foster dog(s) are the sole property of FUR~Friends United in Rescue, and I will not give away, re-home or abandon the foster dog(s) in my care. Furthermore, I understand that FUR~Friends United in Rescue may remove any foster dog(s) from my care without notice. *

While fostering for FUR~Friends United in Rescue, you may NOT foster for another rescue without PRIOR PERMISSION from FUR~Friends United in Rescue. This is due to the possibility of disease which could be transmitted from contact with another rescue's foster and/or the possibility of a physical altercation between our foster animal(s) and the foster animal(s) from another rescue. I agree to get prior permission as stated above. *

While fostering for FUR~Friends United in Rescue, I understand that if both parties agree to move forward with me adopting my foster dog, I am responsible for paying the FULL adoption donation listed on www.FriendsUnitedinRescue.com at the time that FUR~Friends United in Rescue requests. If I do not make my adoption donation, I will return my foster dog to FUR~Friends United in Rescue upon the rescue’s request*

While fostering for FUR~Friends United in Rescue, I understand that should FUR~Friends United in Rescue need to bring legal proceedings, for the return of the dog, I am responsible for the rescues’ legal fees and all court costs. If the dog is no longer able to be returned to the rescue, I understand the value of the dog is $1,500. This will be the monetary value the rescue will bring suit against me for, if no other remedies have been reached*

RELEASE & INDEMNITY

Release: The FOSTER agrees to accept responsibility of the Dog at the foster's own risk. The foster, and the foster's spouse, heirs, executors, personal representatives and assignees, agrees never to bring a claim or suit against Friends United in Rescue. The foster releases Friends United in Rescue and its directors, founders, employees, officers, agents, representatives, contractors, volunteers, successors and assigns from all liability arising from the fostering or behavior of the Dog. The foster understands that this agreement discharges Friends United in Rescue and its directors, founders, employees, officers, agents, representatives, contractors, volunteers, successors and assigns from any liability to the foster and the foster's spouse, heirs executors, and assignees, with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, amputation, scarring, death, property damage or other loss that may result from the fostering or behavior or activities of the Dog. The foster releases Friends United in Rescue and discharges Friends United in Rescue and its directors, founders, employees, officers, agents, representatives, contractors, volunteers, successors and assigns from any liability for Friends United in Rescue's own negligence or liability that may result in bodily injury, personal injury, illness, amputation, scarring, death, property damage or other loss to the foster.

Indemnity: The foster, and the foster's spouse, heirs, executors, personal representatives, and assignees, agrees to indemnify and hold Friends United in Rescue harmless for all bodily injury, personal injury, illness, amputation, scarring, death, property damage or other losses, including attorney’s fees and costs of litigation, that result to anyone else or any other entity because of the foster's negligence or liability. This includes lone acts or omissions by the foster as well as the combined acts of the foster with others.

I understand that by submitting this form electronically, I accept full responsibility for the dog(s) actions at all times, and I agree to release and covenant to hold harmless FUR~Friends United in Rescue and it's members from any claims, damages, costs, or actions incurred because of the care or actions of the foster dog. *
