Arlington Chess Club

 

The Arlington Chess Club (ACC) thanks you for your interest and participation in our club. Thank you!  All players in good standing with the USCF including all students in public, private or home school, in any state, are welcome to participate in our Ladder and chess tournaments and other events.

TO REGISTER: Fill out the form below and submit payment using the secure payment website. Required information is indicated with a red asterisk (*). Registration is complete as soon as your payment is processed.

Regular ACC memberships are $75 for adults and $60 for seniors (age 65 and older) and youth (under age 19), which include an online surcharge. 

IMPORTANT: 

On this page, you can also join /renew membership with the US Chess Federation (the national chess organization for the US) and the VA Chess Federation (VA's state chess group).

U.S. Chess Federation (USCF): All of our tournaments are USCF rated, which means that players must be members of the USCF to play. USCF Membership fees vary by age, starting at $54 for adults per year, with lower rates for youth and those over age 65 (see below).

VA Chess Federation (VCF): This is not required for the ACC club meeting or any of our events. The VCF is the USCF State Affiliate for Virginia. VCF membership is required if you play in any VCF-sponsored tournament in a given year. Membership is only paid once, it is annual from the date you join, it allows you to play VA tournaments and you receive the VCF newsletter during that year (6 issues). Current annual rate is $8 for kids under 18 and $15 for adults.

Players must be USCF members. If you are a new player or if your membership has expired, we can sign players up for 1 year regular memberships - see "Payment Info" section below. Alternatively, players can go to the USCF website.

PAYMENT INFO:

BIRTHDATES: Include a birthdate in the box above to qualify for any Youth or Senior memberships below.

Senior / Youth Memberships: These memberships (for any of ACC, USCF, VCF and/or Chess Life) are subject to age re-confirmation. Please include a birthdate for these rates in the appropriate box above.

ACC CLUB Memberships: Only select one ACC payment option (Adult, Senior or Youth). 

USCF Memberships: These payment options are not required. Only select a USCF Membership payment if your current membership has expired or will expire before you play in an ACC tournament/Ladder OR if you do not have a USCF membership. Only select one USCF payment option. 

** Chess Life (or Chess life for Kids): ** This is an EXTRA USCF PAYMENT option. Include payment for either of these options if you want to receive hard copies of Chess Life or Chess Life for Kids magazines by MAIL, rather than just accessing them online through the USCF website. You receive 12 issues for the regular magazine and 6 issues for the Kids version.

VCF Memberships: These payment options are not required to play in ACC events, but they are provided here for convenience. These memberships cover play by Virginians in VCF tournaments for one year and come with 6 annual issues of the VCF Newsletter.
