FaHCSIA Better Start Funding Program:
You will need to have the letter from Carers Australia.
FaHCSIA Helping Children with Autism Funding Program:
You will need to have the letter from AMAZE (Autism Victoria).
Helping Children with Autism/Better Start for Children with a Disability Medicare Program
(20 sessions):
You will need to have the referral from the Paediatrician.
*Please note that this Medicare rebate can only be used for the pre-program assessment and the individual family coaching session. It cannot be used for the group sessions.
Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP) Medicare Program:
You will need to have your referral letter from the GP.
*Please note that this Medicare rebate can only be used for the pre-program assessment and the individual family coaching session. It cannot be used for the group sessions.
Private Health Insurance
Check with your Private Health insurer to see if you are covered for Speech Pathology sessions in your extras cover.
NDIS Funding (Self-Managed)
*Self Managed participants are able to use NDIA funds to pay fees which are greater than the price cap set by the NDIA. Please speak with your Speech Pathologist to ensure your goals match the More Than Words Program objectives.
NDIS Funding (Third Party/Plan Managed)
*Plan Managers are not able to pay fees beyond the price cap set by the NDIA so you may have an out of pocket expense. Please speak with your Speech Pathologist to ensure your goals match the More Than Words Program objectives.
Melbourne Child Development has decided not to register as an NDIS provider. We can see clients that are Self-Managed or Third Party/Plan Managed but not NDIS Managed.
Other funding (e.g. Life Assist):
You will need to have your referral letter.
