Adoptees Unite Admin Application

Thank you for applying to be part of the admin team on Adoptees Unite (AU) Discord.

We are so excited that you feel passionate about this, and motivated to make a change and bring communities together.

We focus on bringing people together and creating safe environments for adoptees to hang out and chat about identity, belonging, and metal health. It will be your job to make sure confidentality is kept safe and that the members abide by the rules set in the chat.

The Event Admin will work closely with the main admin to coordinate activities, events, and meetings. Admins also have the same duties as the mod team along with their role-specific responsibilities. Their specific responsibilities include:

(1) Planning internal social events for all server members such as fun mixers, video game calls, zoom calls, voice chats, and other such events for members to open up and tell their stories, deeper than video games lol

(2) Co-organizing member-bonding structures and activities like Donut Dates.

(3) Getting the word out and attracting new members to the Adoptees Unite Discord via social media platforms (Reddit, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)

The Support Admin will work closely with the main admin to make sure conversations within the server are appropriate and members (including mods) feel as though they are in a safe and welcoming environment. Admins also have the same duties as the mod team along with their role-specific responsibilities. Their specific responsibilities include:

(1) Promoting good mental health and strong relationships between members.

(2) Be familiar with and suggest resources for mental health issues that members may be experiencing.

(3) Be able to mediate and control potential conflicts that the mod team cannot handle within the server.
