Confidentiality and Nonpartisan Agreement

Every phone bank volunteer with the Sikh Coalition must agree to abide by the Sikh Coalition’s code of conduct standards and confidentiality guidelines. These guidelines each individually have to be agreed to and followed throughout the volunteer opportunity.
As a volunteer phone banking with the Sikh Coalition, you agree to:
1. Never use any personal voter data information for any purpose beyond supporting the Sikh Coalition’s Get Out The Vote (GOTV) phone banking project. This includes phone numbers, addresses and any other personal information shared with you through the Sikh Coalition’s phone banking project.
2. Never store or save any personal voter data information that the Sikh Coalition gives you access to on any personal device (electronic, handwritten or otherwise) under any circumstances.
3. Never promote any particular candidate, party or political viewpoint while volunteering with the Sikh Coalition in accordance with the Sikh Coalition’s non-partisan legal status.
4. Fully participate in the Sikh Coalition’s training and follow the training guidance and phone banking script that the Sikh Coalition provides during the phone banking session you volunteer for.
5. Maintain a courteous, respectful and professional approach with every fellow volunteer you work with and every community member who you successfully phone bank.
