Things to Know About Your Ride...
1. The number of riders you pay for equals how many horses will be ready for you when you arrive. If you say 3 people will be riding and only pay for 1, 1 horse will be ready for you. Making a donation does not secure your reservation, each rider must be paid for. We will not be able to get more horses ready when you arrive as we are on a tight schedule.
2. We will be riding through sandy trails in the Apalachicola National Forest. You may want to bring sunglasses, sunscreen, water, bug spray and/or a hat.
3. Remove all items from your back pockets as the horses movement will work items out of your pockets during the ride. We do have pouches we can provide for extra items.
4. Arrive 10 minutes early than your scheduled ride time. We have rides scheduled throughout the day and it is imperative that we maintain our schedule. We need time to give instructions and get everyone signed in.
5. If you are late, the ride may leave without you. Ride times will not be rescheduled for weekend or Holiday Trail Ride reservations.
6. Weekday reservations (excluding Holidays) May be rescheduled 1 time, with 24 hour notice via phone call or text.
7. Refunds will only be given if We cancel the ride due to severe weather. You may reschedule a non-holiday weekday ride 1 time. Weekend, holiday, and Moonlight Trail Rides will not be rescheduled or refunded.
8. You may bring treats for the horses. They love carrots and apples. If you bring apples, please cut them in quarters.
9. If you would like a photo on your horse, please let us know when you arrive. It's much easier to take photos before we leave than when we get back.
10. Dress for the weather. We do ride in the rain. We have ponchos for sale for $2 each if needed. Please wear closed toe shoes, no flip flops or high heels or slip ons.
11. If you would like to wear a helmet, your hair must be down. No up dos or high pony tails. All riders under 18 must wear helmets.
12. All minors must have a parent/guardian sign our liability form, with the child's name printed. If the parent or guardian will not be present, they can print or email a copy of the liability release form and sign their name and print the child's name on there. We must have all forms signed and turned in by the appointment time. You can find the liability form on the homepage of the website.
13. Our guides are volunteers whom donate their time to work with the rescues, cash tips are greatly appreciated though not required. :)
