The Year 9 Tennis Scholarship is awarded to a student who has exceptional ability in tennis and is selected by the Head of Tennis for the New Hall Tennis Academy. Proven ability at a regional/national level is required. Evidence of the student’s achievements, including a testimonial from one of their coaches as appropriate, will need to be provided before assessment takes place for the scholarship. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an assessment day which will be confirmed in due course. It would be helpful if you can provide any videos of the student demonstrating their ability.
Should the recordings feature any other participants, please liaise with your coach to seek the relevant permission from other parents/guardians. Any videos received by New Hall School will be held securely in accordance with our Data policies.
Due to the size of the recorded files, please transfer the video to support a Tennis Scholarship application via wetransfer using the attached link: https://wetransfer.com. Through wetransfer, please email the file to admissions@newhallschool.co.uk. In the message box, please include your child’s name and current school.
The Year 9 Tennis Scholar will be expected to represent the School at sporting events as required by the Director/s of Sport/Head of Tennis. Should a student stop playing tennis, then the award will cease from the following term.
