    Maryland BioGENEius Challenge
  • The Maryland BioGENEius Challenge is a high-level biotechnology research competition for high school students run by the Biotechnology Institute and hosted by Learning Undefeated.  

    One finalist from Maryland will advance to the  International BioGENEius Challenge. This student will compete and present oral and poster presentations with students from around the globe at BIO, this year in Boston, MA. 

    Learning Undefeated and the Biotechnology Institute are looking for volunteer Judges to select BioGENEius finalists. Volunteers must complete and submit this form. A competition representative will contact you shortly.

  • Judge Qualifications

    Education: Doctoral degrees in related area(s) preferred, although Master’s degrees combined with work experience strongly considered.

    Professional Experience: Five years or more with biotechnology or related field, i.e., business and industry, academia, etc.

    Prior experience in judging research projects, especially college and/or high school levels

    Special Note: No preparatory work or follow-up commitments are required. Judges will be reviewing student applications for content, a rubric will be provided.
