Once you submit your completed form, a copy will be emailed to you and to the RJF Scholarship Committee. Requests for Letters of Recommendation will be sent to your selected responders. Letters will be returned directly to the committee, and you will receive an email notification when letters are received by us. Interview dates will be set up as described below.
Greetings!
The Ramona Junior Fair is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation that provides scholarship for outstanding 4-H, FFA, and Grange members who participate in activities and events relating to the Ramona Junior Fair. To assist you in your academic and personal advancement, the Ramona Junior Fair and its supporters will be awarding several scholarships (funds permitting and applications warranting) to qualified 4-H, FFA, and Grange students.

The applicant must be a graduating senior or have graduated in the past year and cannot have received a Ramona Junior Fair Scholarship in the past. Recipients must be members in good standing in 4-H, FFA, or Grange. These students should have exhibited in the Ramona Junior Fair for at least 2 years, and have actively contributed to the success of the fair. Each applicant must have plans to further their education by attending a two or four-year program at a college or vocational school of higher learning.

Qualified applicants are those students who have completed and submitted an online application. Complete applications consist of: A Completed Online Ramona Junior Fair Scholarship Form, Two Letters of Recommendation (as listed below) uploaded by recommender, and an Official Transcript from high school uploaded by the applicant.

The applicant must submit two separate letters of recommendation: one letter of recommendation from a teacher or administrator and one letter of recommendation from an FFA, Grange, or 4-H leader or advisor. Recommenders must complete the form available on the RJF web site and upload that form as instructed below. Applicants may not submit letters of recommendation written by family members.

Completed online applications, letters of recommendation, and an official transcript must be digitally submitted by 11:59 PM on April 3, 2021. 

The Ramona Junior Fair Board and the Scholarship Committee reserve the right to adjust the amounts awarded or refuse the scholarship to any applicant. The decision of the Ramona Junior Fair shall be final. Applicants submitting incomplete applications will not be eligible for consideration for the scholarship. The Scholarship Chair will notify applicants found to be ineligible prior to the scheduling of interviews.

Applications will be reviewed prior to April 10 and applicants will be interviewed by the Scholarship Committee between the dates of April 10 and April 25, 2021. Attire for the interview shall be the uniform representing the applicant’s club or chapter. Record books are welcome at the interview, but in no way will affect eligibility for a scholarship.

Should the Fair be an in-person event, scholarship recipients must be present in uniform at the beginning of the Ramona Junior Fair Livestock Auction, scheduled for July 31, 2021, and are expected to be active in auction activities such as running paperwork to buyers.
