Norfolk Studio Tour 2021 Application
Norfolk Studio Tour 2021
The Norfolk Studio Tour is a unique opportunity for visitors to meet artists, discuss the ideas and inspiration behind their work, and learn more about their process and technique. COVID-19 UPDATE: We were able to hold a smaller, though successful, Studio Tour for 2020 and look forward to being able to move forward this year again safely. If you have concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or comments. Email Melissa at melissa@ragingbowlpottery.com and we will work with you to ensure that your concerns are addressed.
Dates and Times
The 2021 Norfolk Studio Tour runs September 25th and 26th, from 10am to 5pm. Artists must be available, and studios open, for the full duration of the tour.
Deadline
All applications are due March 15, 2021, acceptances will be sent out by April 15th, 2021
Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in the Norfolk Studio Tour, artists must be full-time residents of Norfolk County and the sole creator and designer of original fine art or fine craft. All works displayed must be for sale.
Jurying
The Norfolk Studio Tour is a juried exhibition. All applications will be submitted to a group of professional artists outside of Norfolk County to be reviewed. Applications will be considered based on originality in conception and execution, quality of workmanship and excellence of design.
Fees
Applicants who pass the jury review must submit a $200 non-refundable fee. Payment is due upon notification of acceptance and details will be given out at that time. This fee covers the costs associated with the Norfolk Studio Tour including website, advertising, and print materials including our brochure.
Images of Your Work
You are required to submit FIVE images of your recent work with this application. Artists new to the tour must also provide an image of their studio space. Images should be of professional quality – in focus with neutral backgrounds. Poor images make it difficult for the jury to give an honest appraisal and could result in an application not being accepted. If accepted, the images submitted will be used in our print and online marketing materials. Images must be in digital JPEG/JPG format only, no larger than 1MB- slides, cd's, flash drives, hard copy photographs, websites and email submissions will not be accepted.
