Virtual Run January 29 - February 28

HOW DOES IT WORK?

• Sign up for the 5K run/walk. Free of charge for all CCISD students only. 
• Choose a date between January 29 - February 13 to complete your 5K run/walk.
• Complete your distance anywhere you want.
• Once you have completed your 5K run/walk, submit a photo of yourself in your CCEF 5K t-shirt to Eloisa.Dowiat@ccisd.us. 
• Packet Pickup Information (please wear a mask):
  •  CoastLife Credit Union (around back at the drive-thru line) 6810 Saratoga Blvd., Corpus Christi, TX 78414 
  • Packet  Pickup begins on January 27 - February 27 (Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.)
  • NO PACKET PICKUPS ON SUNDAYS.

Waiver Agreement - Parent signature REQUIRED if under 18

I acknowledge that running in an event that is organized as a virtual activity where I run or walk on my own, at a date and time of my choosing, in a location and running or walking route of my choosing, which will not have any support or security measures in place by the Corpus Christi Education Foundation or Corpus Christi Independent School District is potentially hazardous activity, which could result in death, serious injury and property loss. I understand I should not enter unless I am medically able and properly trained. By my signature(s), I certify that I am medically able to perform this event and that I am in good health and I am properly trained. In addition, the 5K run/walk is an extreme test of a person’s physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for death, serious injury and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, and condition of athletes, equipment, and vehicular traffic, actions of other people and lack of hydration. I agree to abide by my local community ordinances as well as the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) recommendations for the prevention of the spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and other communicable diseases, and I attest to having read the CDC’s guidance at CDC COVID-19 information. Further, there may be other risks not known to me or reasonable foreseeable at this time. My participation in the 5K run/walk is completely voluntary and for my personal enjoyment. I understand and have considered the risks involved, and I voluntary and freely choose to assume all risks of participating in the CCEF 5K run/walk. Having read this waiver, knowing these facts, and in consideration of you accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Corpus Christi Education Foundation and Corpus Christi Independent School District, all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims of liabilities of any kind arising from my participation in this event, even though liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. By signing this I acknowledge and agree to the above waiver of liability.
