"Portraits of Those Who Serve" Honoring Our Healthcare Workers Project
Once again, the Anchorage School District's Fine Arts Department wishes to honor healthcare workers in our community who are on the front lines battling Covid-19 by creating their portraits. You can read more about our project and see what we created last year by visiting the following website: https://portraitsofthosewhoserve.com. If you are a healthcare worker in our community who is helping us battle this virus, we invite you to participate by filling out this form and providing your "selfie". You can choose to wear your PPE to help us better understand the risk and measures you're taking to protect yourself and others. Or you can remove some of your PPE...whatever you choose! The deadline for you to participate (sending in this form) is Friday, December 10th. ASD middle and high school students will then create an 8x10 artwork of your "selfie", and we will add these to our website and display them at the 5th Avenue Mall in March. Soon after, you'll safely receive the original artwork made for you as a gift and "thank you" for everything you've done to protect our community!
