AP Computer Science is a college level course that gives students the opportunity to receive advanced placement credit in college. Students will learn problem solving and algorithm development using the JAVA programming language. No prior computer programming experience is required.
We are offering this course during two different timeslots.
- One class is taught from 6:45am to 7:40am four days a week.
- One class is taught during a regular school hours book
The course prepares students to take the AP test in May. A passing score on this test may enable students to receive college credit for their high school work.
Prerequisite: successful completion of Algebra 2/Trigonometry required prior to enrollment in course. You are required to bring your Microsoft Surface to class each day.
In order to be considered for enrollment in AP Computer Science at Seattle Prep, you must complete the following tasks:
A.Fill out this application and send the recommendation link to your Math or Science teacher by February 6th.
B. Have your current Math or Science teacher fill out the recommendation form by February 9th.
