All About Dragonflies!
This month's River Basin Days workshop is part of the City Nature Challenge, a global bioblitz where cities compete to see who can make the most observations in a four-day period. Every observation collected during this period is used for monitoring biodiversity and ecological research! Join us on April 27th at Burnaby Lake Regional Park in Burnaby as we learn more about dragonflies and submit observations to iNaturalist!
This event will take place rain or shine, so please come prepared for the weather.
WHEN: Saturday, April 27th, 2:00-3:00 PM.
WHERE: Burnaby Lake Regional Park (meeting location at Avalon Ave Entrance, Burnaby, BC)
WHAT:
- Learn about the dragonfly lifecycle.
- Make observations about dragonflies through jounals and guides.
- Identify dragonfly habitats and document observations using iNaturalist.
WHO: While everyone is welcome, this workshop is aimed at children and their families.
COST: This event is free.

COVID-19 Safety:
- Pre-registration is required.
- Individual group size is limited to five (5) maximum. Workshop registration is limited to five (5) groups.
- During the workshop, groups are required to follow physical distancing guidelines.
- Masks are recommended.
