Fee Payment Policy:

Term fees are due within 14 days upon receipt of invoice.

A 10% surcharge will be applied to overdue accounts. In relation to any accounts that remain unpaid after the surcharge has been applied, The Collective Dance Academy reserved the right to exclude those students from participating in classes until their accounts have been settled.

Direct Debit is our preferred method of payment. If you are unable to direct debit we can also do After Pay, take cash, cheque and have EFTPOS facilities available as forms of payment. Please make any cheques payable to ‘The Collective Dance Academy’. Cash or cheque payments need to be the correct amount, placed in a sealed envelope with student’s name on it and slip into the fees box at reception.

Please make sure payments are clearly referenced with your child’s full name so that we can easily identify your payment. If you require a receipt, please request this with your payment.

We do not run classes on public holidays. You will not be charged for public holidays. However, for those students with unlimited passes, fees are not adjustable for public holidays.

Enrolment fee is required upon enrolment. Enrolment fee includes a The Collective Dance Academy dancer gift.

If you are unable to attend your scheduled private lesson, a makeup class will only be granted if there is a time available and is at the teacher’s discretion.

Private Lessons must not be swapped with other students without permission from the director.

Fees do not include exam coaching classes, holiday classes, costume hire and accessories for exams and end of year performance.
Studio Policy:

Students who are ill may be isolated and sent home.

Cancellation for enrolment or class must be in writing to the directors and given at least 2 weeks notice.

The Collective Dance Academy reserves the right to withdraw any student at any time.

We offer 1 free trial class per student per class for new enrolments only.

Choreography remains the sole property of The Collective Dance Academy and must not be performed without prior consent.

Physical contact from the teaching staff is required for corrective purposes. It will be necessary by a member of the faculty to demonstrate exercises, try on costumes and administer first aid by using physical contact.

The Collective Dance Academy is not responsible for any lost items, we suggest leaving all valuables and money at home.

Students are not to participate in dance styles or schools outside of The Collective Dance Academy without the prior consent of the directors.

All children are the responsibility of the dance school for the duration of class ONLY. Before and after class is the responsibility of the parent/caregiver.

All students are required to wear the correct footwear to class.

By enrolling in our school, you accept that all dance classes, activities and events held at our studios can involved the risk of the personal injury. The Collective Dance Academy will accept no responsibility or legal liability arising from your participation or attendance in our dance classes or other events. You agree to release The Collective Dance Academy from all liability to the full extent permitted by law for any personal injury sustained by a students as a result of any negligent or deliberate act or omission sustained whilst on our premises including the studio.

Your child may be photographed and videoed for promotional purposes on The Dance Collective Academy's social media and online channels (websites, Facebook, Instagram, etc), in newsletters and occasional main media such as related websites or newspapers. If you have any concerns at any time, or would like us to refrain from using your child on our website/social media, please don't hesitate to speak to one of the directors or email us at dance@thecollectivedanceacademy.com.au
Additional Costs:

Please be aware up front that there are additional costs on top of fees. We feel it is important that you are aware of these so you can budget for them.
These are all the costs for the year:

·        Rehearsal: All students involved in our end of year concert will need to attend a technical rehearsal and a dress rehearsal. The total fee for rehearsals will be $30.00.

·        Exam Fees: RAD charges a fee if your child is doing their ballet exam. There will also be piano rehearsal fee and intensive holiday classes in preparation for their exam.

·        Costumes: Parents will be asked to pay a deposit for each costume that is required for our end of year concert. You will be given a full month to pay this deposit and it will be due by the end of July. The deposit cost is $50.00 per dance. You will be sent the final invoice account before the dress rehearsal.

·        Eisteddfods: There is a small fee to enter each dance into an eisteddfod. This will be evenly distributed amongst the students entered in each eisteddfod.

·        Concert Levy: A $30.00 concert levy will be charged in term 3 to help go towards props and stage sets.
