JUSTICE & ADVOCACY COMMUNITY GRANT PROGRAM FY21 GUIDELINES OVERVIEW
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation's (HRCF) Trans Justice Initiative (TJI) will provide financial support to individuals and non-profit entities dedicated to supporting justice & advocacy in the trans, gender nonconforming and nonbinary community (TGNCNB Entities receiving grants should enrich the lives of TGNCNB people through collaboration with public and/or private community organizations as outlined in their Application, following the guidelines in the "Application Process" below. TJI will award one-time grants to individuals and non-profit entities that meet the eligibility requirements set forth below. In Fiscal Year (FY) 2021, HRCF TJI intends to award at least $24,000 during up to six grant cycles in the following regions -- Atlanta, Cleveland, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Dallas and Atlanta, with grant amounts of $1,000 per recipient. An additional $6,000 will be available for national applicants not in those spotlight cities. HRCF TJI reserves the right to increase or decrease the pool of grant funding at its sole
discretion. Applications for the initial FY 2021 semi-annual grant cycle will be released on a
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS To qualify for a grant, the applicant must: Be an individual, group, advocate or non-profit organization. Utilize grant funding for organizational operations, programs or projects that support advocacy work involving the TGNCNB community; and . submit a copy of a detailed funding/expenditure plan. TJI will consider grants to Individuals, groups, advocates and Non-profit organizations; but not to:Any organization that discriminates against individuals on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, personal appearance, gender identity or expression; sexual orientation, family responsibilities, matriculation, political affiliation, physical handicap, or any other protected class
