Our Generation Write Now writing and publishing program is back. We have added a new Advance Individual Publishing class to our Winter session.
Please read ALL instructions below before signing your student up for our class.
Our Virtual Creative Writing Class is open to Elementary, Middle and High School students. If you are signing up multiple children, please be sure to submit individual forms for each child. In our Virtual Creative Writing Class, there is no prerequisite class needed. Upon completion of this form, each student will receive a log-in for their portal. They will also receive a Generation Write Now publishing kit sent to their home using the shipping address provided on the form. Our classes cover Fiction vs. Non-Fiction, writing activities, and group discussion with our instructors. Each registration will receive a Zoom link that will admit them into their class for the 10 AM session on Saturdays. Registration is due by January 16th. Our sessions are one and a half hours long. They are 10-11:30 AM est. each Saturday beginning January 23rd until Febrary 13th. At the end of the program, each student will receive one collective book featuring their work from the class with their peers. Each student will also be part of a book launch party where they would be able to sign-up to share their work in an open-mic forum. If your student miss their class, we can send their recorded session upon request by email.
Our Advance Individual Publishing Class is open to students 8 years old and up. In order for students to be part of our advance class, they must have gone through our writing camp or would be able to work independently. In our class, each student is required to have an existing story to publish. In this class, each student will meet with our instructors twice a week for an hour and a half. This class will meet every Tuesday at 7 PM-8:30 PM est and every Saturday at 10 AM - 11:30 AM est. For this class, each student will receive the tools to finish the story that they have already started, we will give them feedback and help them add details to their existing stories. We will also discuss intellectual property, royalties, and engage in discussion about the creative process. Each student will publish a book of their own. This publishing class will include assigning the student's book with an ISBN Barcode, register their book to be sold on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and our parent company's website Lift Bridge Publishing. Once their book is complete, they will be assigned a dedicated graphic artist from our publishing team to assist with their book's format and book cover. Students are responsible for their own illustrations. Students will also be enrolled to receive royalty statements for books sold on retailers mentioned above. This class will receive a Generation Write Now bag from our team which will include material needed for our class.
This class is for students looking to become authors of their own book. We have a limited capacity for this class. Once we are at our max, we will discontinue registration for this class. If your student is under the age of 8 years old and you believe they would be a great fit for this class, please email us at email@example.com
