2022 Delayed Wheat Harvest Incentive Application
This application is for farmers who would like to enroll in California Waterfowl's Delayed Wheat Harvest Incentive Program. It will collect a variety of information that our biologists need to assess the fields you’d like to enroll, including detailed location data. You will have the option of pinpointing the field location with a Google map, which requires your web browser to allow the form determine your device’s location. If you do not wish to use that feature, you will need to upload a photo of a map showing where the field is located. One or the other is required for each field you’d like to enroll. The program pays farmers $30-40 per acre to delay wheat or other winter-planted cereal grain until July 1-15 in order to allow time for wild duck nests in their fields to hatch, and for the ducklings to get to water.
