  • YIP members are expected to attend at least 6 of the 7 scheduled meetings. Consistent attendance is important to the success of the program and your experience as a YIP member. If you anticipate needing flexibility with this requirement, it must be discussed with YIP staff. Are you able to commit to attending at least 6 of the 7 scheduled YIP meetings?*
  • Each June, YIP students have the opportunity to help with the Okoboji Foundation’s Summer Celebration. While participation is not required, we strongly encourage YIP members to be involved. The event is an important opportunity to experience philanthropy and fundraising in action, represent YIP in the community, and support the Okoboji Foundation. Participation also earns points toward YIP scholarship consideration. Are you willing to make every effort to participate in the June Summer Celebration?*
  • YIP includes hands-on learning about philanthropy, fundraising, and community engagement. As part of the program, each student is expected to complete a minimum of three (3) verbal outreach conversations with potential donors, either by phone or through an in-person visit. Students will receive training, guidance, and support to help them prepare for and successfully complete these conversations. Do you understand and agree to participate in this important part of the YIP learning and fundraising experience?*
