    Program Description:

Tenants' loss of income and health risks associated with homelessness related to COVID-19 have resulted in eviction moratoria imposed by the government.

Once the moratoria expire, it is estimated that millions of households face eviction across the country. Yet many landlords remain indebted to their lenders if tenants are unable to pay.

As legal advocates of tenants in Texas, New York, and Illinois, our panel discuss the eviction crisis resulted from the pandemic.

    Panelists
Mark Swartz: Executive Director of Lawyers’ Committee for Better Housing in Chicago, IL
    Y. Jack Fan: Solo practitioner with Fan Law Office in Dallas, TX.
Barbara Reily: Attorney at Legal Services of the Hudson Valley in Westchester, NY
