  • Inspections

  • Inspectors are to be contracted by or employed by the building owner and independent of the construction contractor. Inspectors are to be allowed access to the building site throughout the construction process including planning, rough-in, and final. If the inspector is not satisfied with the results of any phase of the construction process; the inspectors have the right to require the construction contractor to fix or replace it to their satisfaction (IBC Section 110 A copy of the reports will be submitted to the Department of Environmental Conservation and Safety,P.O. Box 470, Pawnee, OK 74058,when they are completed.

  • Zoning

  • As outlined in Chapters 6 and 7 of the Pawnee Nation Natural Resources Protection Act, zoning restrictions apply within aquatic buffers and ground water resources and shall be followed. The aquatic buffer zones include wetlands, floodplains, and source water protection area for ground water protection and shall be managed to enhance and maximize the unique value of these resources.

  • Stormwater Management

  • As outlined in the Pawnee Nation Natural Resource Protection Act, all federal and tribal permits for Stormwater management and Best Management Practices (BMPs) will be required. For all construction projects the owner is responsible to protect all Stormwater inlets, drainage swales, and creeks that receive stormwater runoff from the property. Periodic inspection and management of stormwater BMPs will be required throughout the construction process until a permanent ground cover has been established.

  • Certifications

  • This building is not to be occupied until an Occupancy Permit has been issued. An Occupancy Permit will only be issued after the building passes the final inspection of the listed inspectors and of the Fire Department and accepted by the Project Manager or Owner.

    I hereby certify that the statements in this application and attachments hereto are true and correct and that the property committee or owner has given permission for this work to proceed. I further certify that all construction work under this permit will conform to the attached plans, specifications, drawings and the Codes and Ordinances of the Pawnee Nation and that all electrical, plumbing, air, fence, sign, and driveway construction shall be performed by contractors licensed by the State of Oklahoma (if applicable The construction site shall be made accessible to all inspectors and employees of the Division of Natural Resources and Safety at any time needed for inspection.
