You must not practice either divination or soothsaying (fortunetelling).
Deut 18:10 -11
There shall not be found among you anyone who

- or one who practices witchcraft, (witch)
- or a soothsayer, (fortuneteller or gypsey)
- or one who interprets omens, (diviner)
- or a sorcerer, (one using supernatural power over others)
- or one who conjures spells, (including sangomas, hoodoo, voodoo, white, gray, black, love, sex magic etc.)
- or a medium, (communication with spirits by i.e. telepathy)
- or a spiritist, (person trying to contact spirits)
- or one who calls up the dead (necromancer).
Deut 4:19
And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars–all the heavenly array–do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven. (NIV)
