Club membership is not required to attend our events, or to utilize our pool. However, there are so many benefits to becoming a member of Wagging Tails Air Dogs Club!  (WAGTAD is our club abbreviation :)

Spectators are always welcome and entry is FREE!  Youth handlers ages 7 to 16 years old, are encouraged and very welcome! To register a Youth Handler, please contact us at (860) 621-7387 (pets) or info@waggingtails.com.

This is a fun, relaxed, family event to enjoy WITH your dog too! The more Splashes you register for, the more opportunity your team has to improve, gain confidence and to make it to the finals! There are 2 jumps per Splash and plenty of practice time! 

Preregistration for this competition is available and also on the http://www.ultimateairdogs.com/events website. We encourage you to preregister today, because registration is $5 more/event on day of, AND space registration on the day of is first come, first serve. Events are held rain or shine, so there are no refunds.

There are numerous skill levels. The top 5 dogs in each UAD Division will compete in THE FINALS.  Finals are FREE of charge. First, second, third and Finals ribbons and rosettes are awarded. And EVERY dog that jumps at this competition, receives a participation ribbon.  Your dog may qualify for UAD's National Competition!

AND introducing WAGTAD  Wagging Tails Air Dogs Club Titles and Awards!  These are earned by our Club Members!  Unique and quite special ribbons, rosettes, medals and trophies for special divisions here ONLY at Wagging Tails.  Stay tuned for more info on this FUN and rewarding offer.

Members: $20 per Splash and $25 per IT event.

Non Members:  $25 per Splash and $30 per IT event.

Wagging Tails Pet Resort & Spaw 802 Boundline Rd Wolcott, Connecticut!

Saturday May 22 & Sunday May 23rd, 2021

at CT's ONLY Ultimate Air Dogs dock diving facility and pool! Competition is open to all dogs, all skill levels, from all dock diving organizations!  From Cane Corsos to Cairn Terriers - any dog, any size!

You do NOT have to be a member of Wagging Tails or Ultimate Air Dogs Club to participate in these events. Any team, wishing to jump, from any affiliation, is welcome here! HOWEVER, membership at Wagging Tails Air Dogs Club has MANY benefits.  Check out our website for details. You can add an annual membership to your registration above, right here! 

Please note that Wagging Tails Air Dogs at the Wagging Tails Pet Resort & Spaw is pleased to offer several unique amenities!

• A welcoming, casual, friendly, non intimidating environment, where all dogs, all skill levels are welcome. 
• Convenient parking - where if you choose to park your car with your dogs in it you will hear the events, as our loudspeaker system reaches the parking area. (Please note that by law, dogs are not allowed to be left unattended in unairconditioned cars)
• AND this facility is unique to offer convenient holding areas for your dog with our chainlink, shaded, exterior 4 x 10' outdoor kennel runs. Your dogs can relax in the shade in between events! First come, first serve. (see photos below).
• Event and tent set up area is completely mud free and covered with clean, artificial turf. 
• Each registrant receives an "I jumped" participatory ribbon.
• Winners receive beautiful unique ribbons and rosettes.
• Lunch provided each day by Wagging Tails Air Dogs Club!

 Here is a link to Google Maps show you where our facility is located 802 Boundline Rd Wolcott CT 06716. After entering the property to unload, you will be directed by a parking attendant to a parking spot which may be in the front of the building or on the street. Parking on the lawn infront of the building is first come first serve. Also, several parking spots infront of our lobby are kept open for our daycare, boarding and pet resorts guests dropping off and picking up. We appreciate your understanding in this. 

This beautiful facility is a unique setup with shaded, outdoor kennel runs available to competitors to house their dogs in on a first come, first serve basis! See photo below. The event area is entirely astro turfed, with both shade and sun and the hosts provide misting fans to cool the area. Bring your pop up tents, coolers, chairs and sunscreen too.   Lunch- hamburg or hot dog, or sandwich, chips and water, are provided for each registered participant for free, by the host. Lunch will be available to unregistered guests and spectators at $5 per person.  Porta-potty on site.  

FYI - The pool at Wagging Tails Pet Resort & Spaw is open 7 days, rain or shine, thru Oct 1st. Pool is available for daycare and boarding guests, swim lessons, hydrotherapy, private pool rentals, pool pawties, dock diving training, Try It sessions and these events! If you are interested in renting the pool for training, coaching and practice, please contact us to reserve your time.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Youth Handlers must be ages 7 or older.  Life jackets on the dock are suggested.  Children under 7 are welcome to spectate. 

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Attendants will direct each car to the drop off location and parking spaces. For those that would like to work out of their care, the spaces closest to the event are on a first come, first serve basis. Please know that this is a unique event setup where we have ove 30 shaded outdoor kennel runs for you to place your dog in. First come, first serve.

What can I bring into the event?

Pop up tent, chairs, sunscreen, dog water bowl, coolers with water, snacks, dog treats and if you would like to donate an item to the event raffle, please contact us at 860 621-7387 (Pets) so we can include it in our raffle prize list! We welcome donations!

The dock diving pool at Wagging Tails in Wolcott CT, was created from an idea by 9 year old, Natalie Lofquist - read the article about Wagging Tails & Natalie's idea in Pets+ magazine here.  Natalie is now 11 yo and a Youth Handler, with her labradors, Ella and Teddy. She is very excited for the 2021 season, and to see the friends she made, and the dogs she met, during the 2020 season.
