In order to be eligible for invites, finals, or competition title points, a minimum of 2 Horizon Rounds are needed per event,  $25/pre-registered round. $30/onsite round.

Horizon is IDS's regular distance game.

Velocity is IDS's timed speed game.

Eclipse is IDS's version of Fetch it/Air Retrieve.

 

 

Release of Liability:

In consideration of being permitted to participate in an International Dog Sports, LLC., Wagging Tails Dock Diving, Wagging Tails Pet Resort & Spaw, Wagging Tails LLC. event (“Event”), the above signed Owner releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue International Dog Sports, LLC., Wagging Tails Dock Diving, Wagging Tails Pet Resort & Spaw, Wagging Tails LLC. (collectively referred to herein as the “Facility”), including their owners, members, directors, employees, and volunteers for any damage to their person or property resulting from any accident or incident at the Event.

The Owner agrees that the Facility holding the Event has the right to refuse entry for any cause which the Facility shall deem sufficient.

Assumption of Risk:
Participation in the Event carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. The specific risks vary from one Event to another, but the risks range from 1) minor injuries such as scratches, bruises, and sprains; 2) major injuries such as eye injury or loss of sight, joint or back injuries, heart attacks, and concussions; 3) catastrophic injuries including paralysis and death, and 4) injury to personal property including their pet.

I have read the previous paragraphs and I know, understand, and appreciate these and other risks that are inherent in the Event. I hereby assert that my participation is voluntary and that I knowingly assume all such risks.

Indemnification and Hold Harmless:
I also agree to INDEMNIFY AND HOLD International Dog Sports, LLC., and the Facility, HARMLESS from all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including attorney’s fees brought as a result of my involvement in the Event and to reimburse them for any such expenses incurred.

Severability:
The undersigned further expressly agrees that the foregoing release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the State of Connecticut and the State of Ohio and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

International Dog Sports, LLC. and the Facility are not responsible for any errors on the entry form or any errors made by International Dog Sports, LLC. or the Facility.

Photos:
I grant International Dog Sports, LLC., and the Facility, and their affiliated companies, representatives, sponsors, the right to license, reproduce, distribute, and display all photographs, videos, and digital images of myself and my dog at the Event.

Acknowledgment of Understanding:
I have read this waiver of liability, assumption of risk, and indemnity agreement, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that I am signing the agreement freely and voluntarily and intend by my signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.

I acknowledge that the terms of this contract are a complete and final agreement between myself, International Dog Sports, LLC., and the Facility, and is to be construed under Connecticut and Ohio law.

Wagging Tails Pet Resort & Spaw 802 Bound Line Rd Wolcott, Connecticut!

at CT's ONLY International Dog Sports dock diving facility and pool! Competition is open to all dogs, all skill levels, from all dock diving organizations!  From Cane Corsos to Cairn Terriers - any dog, any size!

You do NOT have to be a member of Wagging Tails or to participate in these events. Any team, wishing to jump, from any affiliation, is welcome here! HOWEVER, you do need to register for an IDS number.  

Please note that Wagging Tails Pet Resort & Spaw is pleased to offer several unique amenities!

• A welcoming, casual, friendly, non intimidating environment, where all dogs, all skill levels are welcome. 
• Convenient parking - where if you choose to park your car with your dogs in it you will hear the events, as our loudspeaker system reaches the parking area. (Please note that by law, dogs are not allowed to be left unattended in unairconditioned cars)
• AND this facility is unique to offer convenient holding areas for your dog with our chainlink, shaded, exterior 4 x 10' outdoor kennel runs. Your dogs can relax in the shade in between events! First come, first serve. (see photos below).
• Event and tent set up area is completely mud free and covered with clean, artificial turf. 
• Each registrant receives an "I jumped" participatory ribbon.
• Winners receive beautiful unique ribbons and rosettes.
• Lunch is offered!
• Welcome goodie bags and doggy bags to each registrant.
• Complimentary water bowls and water available for dogs.
• Pet waste removal stations with complimentary bags.
• Raffle with prizes - tickets available for purchase.
• Several pop up tents provide shade on our artificial turf viewing locations (first come, first serve) 
• Misting and cooling fans

We welcome all dock diving dogs from any organization!  From beginning dock divers, to experienced, all are welcome in this non intimidating environment. This experience is about FUN AND FAMILY!

This is a fun, relaxed, family event to enjoy WITH your dog too! The more Splashes you register for, the more opportunity your team has to improve, gain confidence and to make it to the finals! There are 2 jumps per Splash and plenty of practice time! 

Preregistration for this competition is available and also on the IDS website. We encourage you to preregister today, because registration is $5 more/event on day of, AND space registration on the day of is first come, first serve. Events are held rain or shine, so there are no refunds.

There are numerous skill levels. The top 3 dogs in each Division will compete in THE FINALS.  Finals are FREE of charge. First, second, third and Finals ribbons and rosettes are awarded. And EVERY dog that jumps at this competition, receives a participation ribbon.

After entering the property to unload, you will be directed by a parking attendant to a parking spot which may be in the front of the building or on the street. Parking on the lawn infront of the building is first come first serve. Also, several parking spots infront of our lobby are kept open for our daycare, boarding and pet resorts guests dropping off and picking up. We appreciate your understanding in this. 

This beautiful facility is a unique setup with shaded, outdoor kennel runs available to competitors to house their dogs in on a first come, first serve basis! See photo below. The event area is entirely astro turfed, with both shade and sun and the hosts provide misting fans to cool the area. Bring your pop up tents, coolers, chairs and sunscreen too.   Lunch- hamburg or hot dog, or sandwich, chips and water, are provided for each registered participant for free, by the host. Lunch will be available to unregistered guests and spectators at $5 per person.  Porta-potty on site.  

FYI - The pool at Wagging Tails Pet Resort & Spaw is open 7 days, rain or shine, thru Oct 1st. Pool is available for daycare and boarding guests, swim lessons, hydrotherapy, private pool rentals, pool pawties, dock diving training, Try It sessions and these events! If you are interested in renting the pool for training, coaching and practice, please contact us to reserve your time.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Junior Handlers must be ages 5 or older.  Life jackets on the dock are suggested.  Children under 5 are welcome to spectate. 

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Attendants will direct each car to the drop off location and parking spaces. For those that would like to work out of their care, the spaces closest to the event are on a first come, first serve basis. Please know that this is a unique event setup where we have ove 30 shaded outdoor kennel runs for you to place your dog in. First come, first serve.

What can I bring into the event?

Pop up tent, chairs, sunscreen, dog water bowl, coolers with water, snacks, dog treats and if you would like to donate an item to the event raffle, please contact us at 860 621-7387 (Pets) so we can include it in our raffle prize list! We welcome donations!

Event is rain or shine. No refunds.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Please print your confirmation and bring it with you. Please note that there will be Liability Waivers to be signed on site prior to the event.  All competitiors must sign in order to participate.

The dock diving pool at Wagging Tails in Wolcott CT, was created from an idea by then 9 year old, Natalie Lofquist - read the article about Wagging Tails & Natalie's idea in Pets+ magazine here.  Natalie is now 17 yo and a Canine Aquatics Instructor. She competes as a Junior Handler, with her labradors, Lily, Harley, Ella and Teddy.
