• Climate Action Stories

Building a sustainable Ashland requires action at home and in the community. The Climate Action Stories project is focused on sharing empowering stories to inspire and connect with your neighbors. This is open to individuals and businesses who reside in Ashland. Our goal is to have a collection of local stories that highlight positive climate action.
  • Please share a brief first-hand story of how you have successfully taken climate action in your daily life. No action is too small. These stories are meant to be upbeat and inspire your neighbors to take action, just as you have. We'd love to hear if you used any city programs or incentives to help you take climate action. Please keep your submission specific to one action. If you have more things to share, simply fill out the form again.

    What we are looking for:

    • A story of how you have taken steps to be ready for any emergency - maybe you made an emergency kit or received a wildfire safety assessment

    • A story of how you have switched off of fossil fuels - maybe you purchased an electric vehicle with the city incentive program or made home improvements.

    • A story of how you practice responsible consumption or live more efficiently - maybe you have started a home garden or practice zero waste strategies.

    • A story of how you support renewable energy sources - maybe you have installed solar panels or used the virtual net-metering program.

If you have another idea outside of these prompts, please feel free to share it.

  • How we share your story - we will only share your story if you give us permission in this survey. It is up to our discretion which stories are shared and on which platform.
