MG Garvin Memorial Scholarship

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from one of the seven GISD high schools.
Deadline to apply - April 6, 2026
Scholarship criteria as follows:
- Recipient must have been in GISD high school choir or band at least four semesters
- Recipient must be planning for a career in school music education such as music teacher, choir director, band director, etc.
- Recipient must provide two letters of reference, with at least one being from one of his/her high school teachers
- Recipient may be asked to participate in an interview
