Getting started is super simple:

1. Click “Next” to carryon through the form.
2. Fill in your details — it only takes a minute.
3. Choose the service you’re interested in.
4. Read through the terms and conditions (we promise it’s not too long!).
5. Hit “Submit” — and then check your email! You’ll get a message shortly with a link to join our WhatsApp group, where we’ll share updates.

So, how does it all work? 🐾
On the day of your appointment:

1. Drop off your pet at the scheduled time and location if your pet is being sterlised  — we’ll be there to welcome you!
2. Your furry friend will travel with us in our fully equipped, pet-safe trailer to the sterilization site.
3. Once all the pets have been treated, we’ll bring them back to the same location later that afternoon for collection.
4. Throughout the day, we’ll keep you updated via the WhatsApp group — you’ll know exactly how things are going and when your pet is ready to come home.
5. We know it can feel a little nerve-wracking, but rest assured — your pet is in caring, capable hands every step of the way! 💙

📌 Important Information – Please Read Carefully

📅 Bookings
Select a date that’s available for your area only — we operate in one location at a time, based on the advertised schedule.
If your chosen date is fully booked, your booking will automatically be moved to the next available date in your area. You’ll have the option to accept or decline this new date.

💉 Surgery Costs
🐶 Dogs
Spay/neuter costs depend on your dog’s weight. All dogs are weighed at the clinic to determine the correct anesthetic dosage.

 

Note: We do not perform sterilizations on any bulldog breeds.

🐱 Cats
Standard sterilization cost: R550

🦷 Dentals
Fixed cost: R1400
Includes anesthetic, pain medication, extractions, polishing, and antibiotics (if needed, at the vet’s discretion).

⚠️ Additional Medical Conditions
The prices above cover routine sterilizations only.
If your pet is:

• On heat
  • For cats and small dogs on heat, the cost is R50.
  • Medium-sized dogs are charged R100, and large dogs R150.
• Pregnant
  • If your pet is pregnant, an additional cost may apply depending on how far along the pregnancy is, with a maximum charge of R200.
• Or has other common conditions listed on the booking form

• …additional costs may apply due to the complexity of the surgery and required medication.

If we discover any unlisted medical condition (e.g., cryptorchidism – undescended testis), we’ll contact you directly to discuss any extra costs.

💉 Vaccinations
Vaccinations are optional and charged separately from sterilizations.

You can vaccinate pets not being sterilized by bringing them to the drop-off point — we’ll gladly assist!

💳 Payment Options

• Debit Card: Pay on the day of surgery
• Cash: Accepted on the day
• ❌ No EFT payments allowed

 

🐾 Day of Surgery – What You Need to Know
To ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone, please take note of the following:

🔒 Pet Safety & Control

• Please make sure your pets are secure and under your control at all times until they are safely placed in a cage.
• There will be many animals present, so it’s important to avoid any unnecessary stress or incidents.
• Tales of Tails cannot be held responsible for pets that are not properly controlled by their owners.

🐱 Cats & Carriers

• If you're using your own carrier, double-check that it is securely closed and escape-proof.
• If you choose to use a Tales of Tails carrier, please swap your cat into the provided cage inside your car to prevent escapes.
• We are not liable for cats that escape due to unsecured carriers.

📍 Drop-Off & Collection Points

• Drop-off and collection will happen at the same location.
• There is no fixed collection time, as it depends on the animals’ recovery and overall well-being.
• We’ll send updates via the WhatsApp group, including the estimated arrival time for collection.

📲 Stay Connected

• Please monitor the WhatsApp group throughout the day for important updates and instructions.
• This is our main communication channel to keep you informed about your pet’s progress and collection timing.

Sterilization and neutering bookings are fully booked. Other services such as vaccinations, microchipping, and similar procedures remain available.
