  • Estimator is intended to give event organizers an idea of how much proposed special event will cost based upon the details provided.  Actual event costs will be validated and finalized based upon the application submittal.

    The City of Foster City seeks full cost recovery of events, while encouraging and supporting events that help promote a sense of community, enrich our culture and support City’s philosophy of inclusiveness and other values, by helping organizers  a) lower costs and b) eliminate process burden and bureaucracy, where possible, without adding risks/unintended consequences.

  • Is your event open to the general public at no charge?
  • Have you organized this event for at least three (3) previous consecutive years (in Foster City/at the same location)?
  • Does your organization maintain a physical presence in Foster City?
  • Does this event include a carnival, trade show or fair?
  • Are you requesting that the street be closed for this event?
  • If the street needs to be closed, do you request that the street be closed by City Staff or will you hire a private vendor?
  • Police staffing needed?
