• COVID-19 Camp Regulations & Safety Procedures

  • LCPS MANDATORY GUIDELINES: 

    1. A face covering must be worn over nose and mouth at all times while inside the building. Visitors should provide their own face covering.
    2. Groups may not be larger than 50 people or 50% of the interior space or outdoor area capacity. 
    3. Before entering the building, visitors should assess their health using the following questions: 
      1. Do you have a temperature of 100°F or above? 
      2. Do you have a new cough, shortness of breath, or new sore throat that cannot be attributed to another health condition? 
      3. Do you have gastrointestinal symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, that cannot be attributed to another health condition? 
      4. Do you have new nasal congestion, a new runny nose, or a new loss of smell or taste? 
      5. Do you have new muscle aches or any other sign of illness? 
      6. Have you had contact with someone in the previous 14 days with either a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 or who is ill with a respiratory illness? 
    4. If the answer to any of these questions is yes, please remain at home. 
    5. If you have had a positive COVID test in the past 14 days and/or have had a fever in the last 3 days, please remain at home. 
    6. Avoid directly touching shared items or equipment whenever possible. 
    7. Observe rigorous hand-washing methods. 
    8. Please follow all signage where applicable. 

    Social Distancing Procedures 

    1. Each day we will monitor the health of the staff and campers. 
    2. We will screen all staff and campers daily for symptoms and possible exposure to COVID-19, using questions recommended by CDC. Staff or children who have tested positive for COVID-19, are symptomatic, or who have had a known exposure to a confirmed case of COVID-19 will be excluded to this year’s camp according to CDC guidance. 
    3. We will keep a log of temperature and symptom screening for campers daily and maintain the confidentiality of these records. 
    4. All Staff will be required to wear a face covering, which may include a mask, a face shield, or both. 
    5. No individuals outside of the camp (either staff or student) will be permitted to interact with the students or staff during camp hours. 
    6. We will implement the following prevention and mitigation strategies to slow and limit COVID-19 Exposure and Spread.
      1. Cover your cough 
      2. Practice recommended regular and routine handwashing practices 
      3. Avoid use of items that are not easily cleaned and disinfected 
      4. Practice proper use, removal, and washing of cloth face coverings. 
      5. Post signs with Covid-19 prevention and control practices 
      6. Provide policies and education on COVID-19 prevention and control practices 
      7. Ensure adequate supplies of tissues, hand soap, alcohol-based hand sanitizer, and household cleaning products suited for the facility. 
    7. Any staff or child exposed to a person diagnosed with a confirmed or probable case of COVID019 may not work or attend camp until they complete self-quarantine following the CDC Guidelines. Persons who have recovered from COVID-19 must be cleared for release from isolation according to CDC Guidelines. 
    8. If your child exhibits any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 or any cold, please keep them home. 

    COVID-19 Acknowledgement & Waiver: 

    1. By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily agree to the participation terms described above and assume the risk that my child(ren) and I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending activities at Potomac Falls High School and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. 
    2. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at Potomac Falls High School may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including but not limited to, camp staff and campers. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself, illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my child(ren)’s attendance at the Potomac Falls Drama Camp. 
    3. On my behalf, and on behalf of my child(ren),I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless the Potomac Falls Drama Boosters, its board of directors or Potomac Falls High School and staff, of and from the claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. 
    4. I understand and agree that this release includes any claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of the Potomac Falls Drama Boosters, its board of directors, Potomac Falls High school and staff, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in my camp activity.
