Contract and Scheduling:
Initial Consultation is a $25.00 charge at the time of your consultation. You'll need two copies of your home key during the meeting, one for the sitter and one for the office in case of emergency; you can also use Key locks/door codes. Cat clients: we have a different system where we can keep the key for future service, or you will be charged $20 for key pick up each time of the service and $20 for key drop off (it is preferred that we keep the key for the future ). After the initial consultation with Danny’s Pet Care people and the signature of the contract, a pet-sitting and dog-walking schedule will be discussed and agreed to. In addition, clients can request service by text at 202-905-4684 Monday through Saturday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM or via email at dannyspetcare@gmail.com. There will be an additional charge of $15 for services requested on holiday days, including New Year’s Day, MLK Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Holidays must be booked seven or more days in advance. You must provide a parking permit for the Dog sitters staying overnight at your place.
Cancellation Policy:
Dog walking service must be canceled the night before; otherwise, you get charged $20 for canceling the walk the same day. For Pet sitting Cat or dog, you must cancel 48 hours or more in advance; otherwise, you will be charged 40% of the total expected sitting amount. In the case of dog walks, if Danny’s Pet Care team members arrive and you are at home or there is a note indicating that a walk is not needed, you will be charged for the cost of the walk, and if you come back earlier from your trip, you still will need to pay for the total amount you reserved. The preferred cancellation method is by phone/text to 202-905-4684 or sitter; alternatively, email (dannyspetcare@gmail.com) can be utilized. For any emergency, please call us or email between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm.
Regular dog walking schedule must schedule the dates they need dog walking service every Sunday or Monday early in the morning so your pup can be added to the weekly walker schedule. Still, if your schedule will be the same each week, you don't need to email us each week.
We may cancel the walks the same day without any charge if the walker has an accident, is sick, has a family emergency, or has a car broken down; we have a backup plan, but we are not 100% positive. We may cancel walks or go for short if the weather is too hot or too cold for the safe of the dog and dog walker. When we have bad Thunderstorms, rain, or snow, we can cancel the walks if the weather doesn't change during the day or night.
When pet sitters stay overnight at the people's homes and the weather is terrible, we do short walks and potty breaks in the backyard.
Payment Information:
The payments for dog walks are due at the end of each week (Friday to Sunday). Invoices will be subject to a $30 late fee every seven days the invoice is overdue and $20 for three days late payment. Payments can be made with Venmo, Zelle, or Paypal. If it is necessary to initiate collection proceedings on the account, clients will be responsible for all attorney fees and costs of the collection. If payment is not received in full within thirty (30) days, collection proceedings will begin on the client’s account. Clients are responsible for all reasonable attorney’s fees and costs associated with the collection. There is also a charge for people who are paying with credit cards. For pet-sitting services, we prefer if the person pays before travel or leaves a %50 downpayment for the full service; we don't return the money if the person comes back earlier than the dates mentioned.
Safety and Liability:
All dogs must be on a leash during outdoor walks; Danny’s Pet Care and Pet Sitters Associates LLC is not responsible for damage incurred by a pet escaping because of a damaged leash or collar that is incorrectly fitted. All dogs must have a collar and tag with the owner’s contact information. In the event of inclement weather or natural disasters, Danny’s Pet Care is entrusted to use its best judgment in caring for pets (for example, on days when the temperature is above 90 degrees, dog walks will be limited to a shorter period to protect the health of the dog or dogs as well as the dog walker). Suppose your animal bites a dog walker or pet sitter. In that case, the owner is responsible for all medical costs associated with the walker or sitter's injury, including doctor's visits and necessary prescriptions. Veterinarian Care in case of emergency:
Danny’s Pet Care will attempt to administer medications (not including injections or IVs) as directed but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result. Timid, aggressive, or scared pets with medical problems can be a severe risk. If you have such an animal, this must be thoroughly discussed prior to the services rendered. We don’t medicate diabetic animals that need injections or with any sign of aggression. In an emergency, Danny’s Pet Care will make every attempt to contact the client. In the instance when the client cannot be reached, I authorize Danny’s Pet Care to transport my pet(s) to the veterinarian or emergency animal hospital in the event of their illness or injury and authorize treatment deemed necessary by the veterinarian. Furthermore, I agree to reimburse Danny’s Pet Care for all related costs, including transportation, immediately following the incident. I authorize the vet clinic/emergency hospital to bill the client for all treatment expenses incurred during the visit.

We do background checks for all the walkers and pet sitters so we all feel safe with the new person coming to your place. At Danny's Pet Care, we have a pet-friendly team, some for three years and others for 8 to 9 years, that are part of the family.
