RT ROCKETS CHEERLEADING ATTENDANCE POLICY 2022

Joining the RT Rockets Cheerleading Program is a big commitment not just for your child but for you as well, and we want to thank you all in advance for your dedication. Being a cheerleader can be a very rewarding experience and it is critical that everyone attends practice. Cheerleading is a sport which requires every cheerleader to know their responsibilities and perform as part of a TEAM. Attendance is essential to the success of each season. When one cheerleader is absent, it places a hardship on the entire squad and can become a safety issue. One girl being absent can affect an entire stunt and/or pyramid from being practiced. Learning the halftime routine is not easy if they aren't dedicated. It is for these reasons the cheerleaders and the parents are advised of the importance of the RT Rockets Cheerleading Attendance Policy. Attendance Policy: We expect each cheerleader to be at all practices and all games. We understand the occasional conflict will come up but this should be the exception instead of the rule. Initial

All athletes are expected to be on time for practices and games, dressed and ready to participate in stretching, warm ups, etc. Initial

It is essential for the cheerleader to be present during choreography week. This is the week the cheer teams learn their halftime routine and it is imperative each cheerleader is in attendance Missing any days during this week may result in a diminished role or removal from the halftime routine. Please know the cheerleader will be welcome to still participate in sideline cheers and all other aspects of being on the team. Initial

Absences are a safety issue. Excessive absences will be addressed by the cheer board for review and again, may result in a cheerleader being worked out of the halftime routine. Initial

We all want our children to grow and improve and they can't do that if they aren't here. Learning to be part of a team. .starts with being with the team. We ask for your help in explaining the importance of this to your cheerleader. All of our practices pay off at Pep Rally and on game day. Be proud of your cheerleader and come support them!
