    PUBLIC ART AT THE HAWK
  • The City of Farmington Hills Cultural Arts Division, with support from the Farmington Area Arts Commission, is seeking artwork for display at The Hawk, the new Farmington Hills Community Center.

    Because of the sheer size of the building, we are looking for medium to large-scale 2D and 3D pieces that have a WOW factor.

  • Artists may submit up to 5 images. Only 1 image is required for submission. All must be of professional quality and if chosen, mounted and ready to display.

    ALL IMAGE FIELDS (title, description, dimensions and value) MUST BE COMPLETED, for each piece of artwork submitted. If item is Not for Sale (NFS), artist must provide Insurance Value. Images must be of professional quality at 300 dpi, a maximum file size of 1MB and saved as jpg, gif, or png format.

  • I certify that the artwork described in this application is that which will be on display and is completely my own work, in which I have sole rights for its display. If selected, I commit the above work(s) for display for a period of two (2) years, with a possible extension. I certify that I am responsible for properly framing or preparing artwork for installation to protect from damage, including sunlight. If artist agrees to display artwork in outside locations, weather damage due to choice of the materials is the responsibility of the artist. Artist agrees to provide delivery and pick-up of item, with the exception of special circumstances in which transportation may be provided. Artist also agrees that if accepted, will allow permission to use image(s) for promotion, unless notified otherwise by the artist.

    If the item(s) should sell during the display term, the artist will personally arrange the price, payment and delivery, but the art will stay in-place until the term is complete. The City of Farmington Hills will not take a commission for artwork sold during the exhibit; artists will retain 100% profit from artwork sales.
