THE 8TH DISTRICT OF KANSAS FARM BUREAU
“EXCELLENCE IN AGRICULTURE” SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
**Preference for this scholarship will be given to an individual who plans a career in the agricultural industry or in the advancement of rural communities.**
The Farm Bureau Associations Clark, Edwards, Ford, Gray, Hodgeman, Lane, Meade, Ness, Pawnee, Rush, and Scott County will be awarding two $500 scholarships. A graduating high school senior and a student already pursing higher education will be each be selected.
Eligibility:
- Must currently be a 2023-2024 High School Senior or currently enrolled in an accredited College, Jr. College, Trade/Technical School or Health Care related school
- Applicant or parents/guardians of the applicant must be a current County Farm Bureau Association member in good standing of one of the above mentioned counties
- Applicant must be applying to an accredited college, Jr. College, Trade/Technical School or Health Care related school for the 2024-2025 academic year
Requirements:
- A complete application must be received by 5pm on or before April 1, 2024. Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Complete the application in a type-written format
- All questions on the application must be completed
- A documented copy of the applicant’s cumulative GPA must be included with the application
Review & Notification:
Applications meeting the eligibility criteria listed above will be reviewed by an impartial committee representing the 8th District of Kansas Farm Bureau. All applicants will be notified of the status of their application once recipients are chosen.
If you are a recipient of a scholarship, you may be asked for your attendance at your county’s annual meeting to be recognized as the 8th District Scholarship Recipient if your schedule allows.
