Phase 1B(v2) includes anyone ages 65+ years old or people ages 16+ years with underlying medical conditions which increase the risk of serious, life-threatening complications from COVID-19 such as Cancer, Chronic Kidney Disease, COPD, Down Syndrome, Heart Conditions, Organ Transplants, Obesity, Pregnancy, Sickle Cell Anemia and Type 2 Diabetes - as well as 18+ who teach in pre-primary, primary, and secondary schools, Head Start and Early Head Start programs (including teachers, staff, and bus drivers) and those who work as or for licensed child care providers, including center-based and family care providers. Are you Phase 1B(v2) eligible to receive the COVID -19 vaccine?
Phase 1C includes those 50 and older, an age group for which there is strong and consistent evidence of COVID-19’s life-threatening effects. Preventing the disease among people in this age group will dramatically reduce the number of Texans who die from the disease across all races, ethnicities and occupations.
