  • LAMAR COUNTY HEALTH DISTRICT NEXT COVID VACCINATION CLINIC IS FRIDAY APRIL 16 AT THE LOVE CIVIC CENTER.

    April 13, 2021 - In line with guidance from the CDC and FDA, the Texas Department of State Health Services is asking Texas vaccine providers to pause all administration of the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine until further notice.

    Adverse events appear to be extremely rare and are being further evaluated to ensure vaccine safety. People who have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine who develop severe headache, abdominal pain, leg pain or shortness of breath within three weeks after vaccination should contact their health care provider.

     

    March 29, 2021 - Texas Vaccination Hubs are open to ALL ADULTS over age 18.  Registering guarantees you a shot, but those who walk-in will be able to be vaccinated according to availability.

    Registration for the MODERNA TWO-DOSE Vaccine is for any US resident and requires a working phone number!. Also helpful are an email address and a cell phone capable of receiving text messages. If you do not have any of these, then please do not continue.

    State allocation and delivery dates of the COVID-19 vaccine to to the Lamar County Health District will determine the exact day we will be able to schedule you for your dose of vaccine.

    For those who had the FIRST DOSE of MODERNA, the SECOND DOSE is given after 24-42 days from your first dose, and you will be contacted when you are due.

    When the Lamar County Health District receives their allocated COVID-19 vaccine and they have reached your name on the waiting list, you will receive a phone call or text that will indicate the next available day and times and will schedule your appointment.

    There are no associated costs to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. There is no charge to join our waiting list, no charge to make an appointment, and no charge to receive either dose of the COVID vaccine from any provider.

    It is important that you provide a working phone number and preferably, an active cell phone that can receive texts so that we are able to contact and schedule you with the next available vaccination clinic dates.

    Completion of this form schedules you for an appointment, you should arrive at the time you choose - no follow up call will be made. Please avoid making duplicate entries for the same person into this schedule.
