Please note Text is not currently accepting poetry, play scripts, screenplays, picture books, individual short stories, technical manuals, cookbooks, how-to guides, travel guides or educational textbooks.
Word Count of Full Manuscript

Junior-fiction and middle-grade manuscripts should be between 10,000 and 80,000 words. Adult and young-adult manuscripts should be between 40,000 and 120,000 words. There is no word count requirement for graphic novels.

Your cover letter should include information about where your title would sit in the market, including comparison titles, similar authors and your intended audience. Please also include details of your publishing history and/or any writing awards or residencies you've received. We prefer double line spacing and a simple, clear font.
