Examples of corrections (items that are incorrect) and will be corrected at no additional charge:
- Misspellings: “Cat” is misspelled as “cta.”
- Items that were correct in your manuscript, but have been changed thereafter: You said your “son” ate ice cream, but it now says your “daughter” ate ice cream.
Examples of changes (items that are not technically incorrect) and will be charged when changes exceed the allowed number above:
- Changing fonts or sizes. (This type of change can ONLY be made with the Text-GALLEY proof at no charge. This may make hundreds of changes in the document when not made at the proper time, and you will be notified to review it before we begin).
- A citation needs to be fixed because it was incorrectly noted in the original manuscript.
- Updating a word or a phrase because another word/phrase sounds better.
- Adding/deleting a chapter, paragraph, sentence, or even a word.
- Reversing a change that was made previously.
