At Youth Unlimited we are deeply committed to shaping and transforming our young people to lead vibrant, hopeful, faith-filled lives. In turn, we believe our city will look different, as these young change agents restore their families, neighbourhoods, and more.
Are you someone who thinks outside the box? Are you an entrepreneur? Are you willing to apply your entrepreneurial skills and work-experience in a non-traditional context? Do you have a vibrant Christian faith and are excited to see young people reach their full life potential?
As the Job Opportunities & Placement Coordinator, you’ll be given a unique opportunity to develop an employment ministry to youth experiencing vulnerability in Toronto neighbourhoods where we are currently serving. Many of our youth, ages 16 to 25, struggle with poverty, are out of school, unemployed and don’t have a lot of belief in themselves. Our new employment initiative intends to be a place where these youths are connected with caring volunteers and staff, can learn employment skills, gain work experience and be encouraged to be all God has created them to be.
The Coordinator will help shape and set the vision and, then, lead, resource and oversee all aspects of this new ministry. This person will also give leadership to fundraising for salary and ministry and work closely with key stakeholders and partners of the community.
