    for ACOEM's 2021 Board Election
  • Submission Deadline:  MARCH 15

    ACOEM is seeking applications from eligible members to serve on the Board of Directors for the positions of Vice-President (2022-23), Treasurer (2022-24), and three Director positions (2022-25):

    The application deadline is March 15, 2021.

    Those interested must complete the online application, thereby indicating their willingness to run if nominated and serve, if elected. Board Members are also required to attend Board of Directors Meetings on a quarterly basis and are appointed to serve on select Board committees. For more details and to gauge the time commitment involved while serving on the Board, you may refer to our Board Meetings Summary Document.

    Application Process details:  

    • The Application Review Process will begin after the application deadline and ends on May 5
    • Applicants will be notified of their application status by mid-May. 
    • The approved Election Slate will be shared with the Membership.
    • Those elected to run, will recieve additional information about lobbying and the election materials required leading up to the 2021 Board Election. (to clarify, the 2021 Election serves to select Board members beginning their term in 2022)
    • ACOEM's 2021 Board Election will be held between November 1st and December 15th.  
    • Those ultimatley elected to office will begin their term at the 2022 AOHC meeting, on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.

    Interested in applying for multiple positions?

    To express interest in more than one elected position here is what you need to know.  

    • If after the application review process you are selected as a Candidate, you may only run for (1) position in the Election 
    • The position you run for is chosen by the Candidate Selection Committee and approved by the Board of Directors
    • To apply for multiple positions , you must submit separate applications, (1) for each position.

  • (1) VICE PRESIDENT (2022-23):

    Requirements: Applicants must hold Fellow status and have served on the Board of Directors at least (2)years.

    Application Materials:  A Letter of Intent* and CV are required to apply.

    Term / Position Details:  This Board Officer position requires a 4-year commitment; transitioning from Vice President (2022-23) to President-Elect (2023-24), to President (2024-25), and to Immediate Past-President (2025-26).

    Board Officers also serve on the Executive Committee and other BOD committees as assigned or as prescribed in the committee or council composition details.    

  • (1) TREASURER (2022-24):

    Requirements: Applicants must hold Fellow status and have served on the Board of Directors at least (2) years.

    Application Materials:  A Letter of Intent and CV are required to apply.

    Term / Position Details:  This Board Officer position serves a 2-year term and serves as the Finance Committee Chair and is appointed to other BOD committees as assigned or as prescribed in the committee or council composition details.  

  • DIRECTOR (2022-25):  

    Positions Available:  (3) 

    Requirements: Applicants must hold Fellow status.  

    Application Materials:  Completion of this online application and submission of a current CV are required to apply.

    Term Details:  This Director serves one 3-year term and is appointed to other BOD committees as assigned.
